I. Love. Fall. It is definitely my favorite season. I love the colors. I love the cool crisp air, the crunchy leaves, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays. All of it. Too bad it is so short in Utah. Last weekend Bruce and I decided we wanted to go on a walk, so we drove up a canyon to a cute trail that Bruce had found. Being out in the woods during this time of year reminded me of the fun times I had playing in the woods with my brothers when I was young. Here are some pictures of our hike/walk.

Conference Weekend
This past weekend was conference weekend. I love conference! I love it because you get to spend so much time with family and I especially love hearing the words of our beloved prophet and his apostles as well as listening to the beautiful music of the Tabernacle Choir. After every conference I always go away feeling overwhelmed with the spirit and a renewed determination to live my life the way the Lord wants me too.
In between sessions on Saturday we went up the canyon to a place where Bruce goes mountain biking with some guys in the ward. There is a cute little park where they start so we decided to go up there and take pictures. (I needed a picture for my teacher bio page for work. I went back to work coaching a few tumbling classes one afternoon a week. It's nice to make a little extra cash and Madi gets to spend some quality time with Daddy!) I think they turned out pretty well for our dinky little camera and having to set it on a trash can with the timer. hehe.

I Love My Daddy
We always have a fun time together and he always makes me laugh.
He loves me very much and I love him too.

Lunch in the Park
Bruce hasn't been as busy as usual because he is waiting on the programmers to finish the new software. He has been working from home a lot and Madi and I love the extra little time we get with him. The weather was beautiful last week so we decided to take advantage of it. So we walked to a nearby park and had a picnic lunch.
Walking to the park.
Me and my baby. :)
Madi is looking up at the tree. I love her cheeks!!
My handsome husband and adorable baby.
Eating yummy canned pears from Grammy.
If you have never tried eating Cheez-Its and carrots at the same time you are missing out. Bruce introduced this to me while we were dating. It sounds weird but it is so yummy. The perfect combination of sweet and salty. Try it!!
Big girl drinking all by herself.

Visit to NC
At the beginning of September we got to go to NC to visit family for about 2 weeks. It was so nice to spend time with my family but as always it was very hard to leave. I may or may not have cried....just sayin'. ;) Anyways, I love them so much and really wish that we weren't so far apart. Madi wanted to tell you what we did on our trip so I will let her do it.
Hello, Madi here. We did a lot of fun things in NC. One of those things was going to the zoo. It was my first time. I really liked seeing all the animals. I was looking really cute that day so most of the pictures are of me instead of the animals we saw...I just can't help it. ;)

I really liked watching the sea lions swim around.
Daddy let me ride on his shoulders.
I wanted to play with the bees.
This is me just being cute!
We also went on a hike to Hanging Rock and some nearby waterfalls. Mommy and Daddy thought the hike was steep but I thought it was easy.
That is where we are headed.
We made it to the top! It was so pretty!
This tree was really cool so we took a picture on it.
Picture with Mema.
And Grandpa.
I fell asleep while Aunt Allie was holding me. It's hard work looking cute and hiking at the same time.
We also did other fun things like going to a water park, visiting with great grandma and grandpa, and eating lots of yummy food. Grandpa let me try yummy things that mommy and daddy never give me. One of those things I really liked was ice cream. This is a picture of daddy standing under the Bruster's sign...get it....Bruce-Sters.....hehe...well my mommy thinks its funny.
Here is a picture of me playing with Uncle Zack. I liked to stare at Uncle Zack a lot because he looks funny. Just pickin'. He was a lot of fun to play with.
Waiting patiently for mommy to fix my food. Don't I look like a cute little buddha?
I also got two teeth in while we were in NC. I was a really good girl and didn't fuss a bit!
All in all it was a really fun trip and I can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving!!!
